Mark Stoermer

Mark August Stoermer (sometimes spelled Störmer) was born on June 28, 1977 in Texas.

He moved to Las Vegas as a young child, attending Chaparral High School, where he played trumpet in the jazz ensemble. He later took music classes and studied philosophy at the UNLV, where he also played in the marching band.

Mark worked as a medical courier, shipping biohazardous materials and live organs for transplants in the Vegas Valley area. During this time he listened to the music of The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Television, and others on his car stereo.

Mark's previous bands include Habit Rouge, and the Negative Ponies with whom he played guitar. Some of his greatest influences are The Beatles, The Who, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis,and David Bowie. He enjoys the writings of Henry Miller and he neither drinks alcohol nor smokes tobacco.
